Thrilling Thursday Matchups Across Women's College Basketball
UConn @ Notre Dame
The stage was set for a classic rivalry as the Top-ranked UConn Huskies traveled to South Bend to face the 7th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Irish emerged victorious in front of a raucous home crowd, defeating UConn 79-68.
Super sophomore Hannah Hidalgo led the way for Notre Dame, lighting up the scoreboard with an impressive 29 points. On the opposing side, UConn's star guard Paige Bueckers showed her mettle, scoring 25 points in a valiant effort. Notre Dame’s defense proved pivotal, stifling UConn's attempts to mount a comeback in the final minutes.
